The amount of details contained in the wings of a dragonfly are pretty incredible. I think it is easy to forget the complexity of life until we take some time to take a closer look.
This blue dasher is certainly a colorful dragonfly, especially in this profile view.
I was fishing nearby and noticed all of these interesting dragonflies. It seems that dragonflies are creatures of habit and will fly to the same perch multiple times. I grabbed my camera and waited for the dragonfly to return.
